Panagiotis Gromitsaris is a pharmacist and tech entrepreneur, and cofounder of CommerceX, a software company building products that make e-commerce work better. At CommerceX, he built SearchX, a platform agnostic search engine delivered as SaaS, and merxone, a custom platform for creating and running online stores.
Running an online pharmacy taught Panagiotis something most tools ignore: when shoppers can't find a product, they don't ask for help, they leave. Site search isn't a feature, it's a revenue lever, and most eshops still treat it as an afterthought. SearchX fixes that with semantic search, typo tolerance, Greeklish transliteration, auto generated smart filters, and real time analytics. His background as a pharmacist and online store owner is why he builds this way: close to the real problems of running an eshop, not the theory of it.
